Wrong-way crash on State Road 836 leaves one dead, one injured

According to news reports, a black Hyundai was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of State Road 836 and struck a white Nissan head on in the early hours of the day. The impact was so severe that one of the cars caught fire and the driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai was injured and was taken to a nearby hospital trauma center.

The Florida Highway Patrol attended to the crash and it is conducting the investigation into the accident and charges are expected to the filed against the driver of the Hyundai.
